Dear Patients, Families and Friends,
We have been thinking about you and we hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. We are happy to announce that we are OPEN and continuing patient care. Below you will find details discussing what to expect before and during your appointment. You can also find information regarding what to expect at your appointment, new safety measures being taken, the pre-appointment screening questionnaire and any updates from our office on our website. Please contact our office with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to finding our new normal. As we welcome you back to our office, we want to reassure you that your health and safety is our number one priority.
While we have remained open for emergency care, we are scheduled to begin regular care on Friday, May 29th. We are following the most recent advice from the CDC and our professional organizations to keep you, our other patients, and our staff, safe from infection. We feel confident that we can do so in an effective manner by continuing to follow universal precautions, as we have always done, in addition to the advancements you can read about here.
You can expect the following adjustments throughout your appointment process:
- Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
- We will be sending as much paperwork as possible electronically to be completed at home before your appointment.
- We are asking everyone to wait in their car instead of the waiting room, when possible. Please text or call the office upon your arrival so we can provide you an estimated wait time.
- We ask that everyone entering the office wear a face mask or covering throughout the entire duration of their visit (patients will remove face masks during procedures).
- Please use the hand sanitizer available when you come into the office.
- We ask that you come into the office alone. If necessary, one caregiver or family member may come in with the patient.
- All patients’ temperatures and caregivers’ temperatures will be taken upon arrival to the office. Individuals with a temperature of 100.4 degrees F or higher will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
- You will see that all staff, including the front office staff, will be wearing masks.
- You will notice the assistants, hygienists, and doctors wearing more protective equipment.
- All staff members will be routinely screened for symptoms.
- We are allowing more time between appointments to manage physical distancing between patients.
- We have removed hard to disinfect items, such as magazines and toys, from the lobby to reduce the possibility of transmission.
- You will notice new equipment in use. The various types of equipment will greatly reduce the production of aerosols, as well as disinfect the air.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the numerous steps we are taking to keep everyone safe. Please call our office at 810-227-6567 or visit our website at brightonhealthysmiles.com if you have any questions or to make an appointment. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back all of you.
